What are "cookies"?

"Cookies" are understood as IT data, in particular text files, stored in end users' devices intended for use with websites. These files allow recognizing the user's device and appropriately displaying the website tailored to their individual preferences. "Cookies" usually contain the name of the website they come from, the time they are stored on the end device, and a unique number.

What do we use "cookies" for?

"Cookies" are used to adapt the content of websites to user preferences and to optimize the use of websites. They are also used to create anonymous, aggregated statistics that help understand how the user uses websites, which allows improving their structure and content, excluding personal identification of the user.

What types of "cookies" do we use?

Generally, two types of "cookies" are used - "session" and "persistent". The first are temporary files that remain on the user's device until logging out of the website or closing the software (web browser). "Persistent" files remain on the user's device for the time specified in the "cookies" parameters or until they are manually deleted by the user.

The following "cookies" may be used in our Service:

  1. PHPSESSID - "session" cookies storing the session identifier. It is a system variable assigned by the server on which the service operates, necessary, for example, to store information about being logged into the service, checking whether the visitor is not an automatic script filling out a form, or transferring parameters of the software used by the service.
  2. Variables used by Google Analytics (creating statistics):
__utmz - storage time: 6 months from creation
__utma - storage time: 2 years from creation
__utmb - storage time: 30 minutes from creation
    __utmc - session
  3. cookie_policy – "persistent" cookies storing information that the user has read the message about the service using cookies and accepted the terms of use.

We do not use "business" and "advertising" cookies used, for example, to personalize ads from external service providers or others that interfere with the privacy or security of the Service user.

Settings and deleting "cookies"

In many cases, the software used for browsing websites (web browser) by default allows the storage of cookies on the User's end device. Service Users can change their cookie settings at any time. These settings can be changed in particular to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or to inform about their placement on the Service User's device each time. Detailed information about the possibilities and ways of handling cookies is available in the software (web browser) settings. Restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some functionalities available on the Service's websites.
